Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in community mental health and 6 years in private practice. I enjoy meeting you, wherever you are at in your life, with respect and compassion. I am authentic and accepting, and provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore your past and what you want for your present and future. In therapy with me, you can turn emotional pain or stress into something lighter, and progress on a path toward greater happiness and health.
I serve individual adults in my centrally located office, or via tele-health.
STEP 1
MANAGE THE MIND, KNOW THE BODY
Although therapy is a relationship and not a linear plan, oftentimes I find the course of therapy goes like this: First, we'll get to know each other and make sure you feel safe and attended to. Then, I teach grounding, mindfulness, emotion identification and management skills, and communication skills. (Such as knowing your feelings and needs and expressing them using Non-Violent Communication.) My clients love the way I help them learn to meditate and relax.
STEP 2
GET TO KNOW AND APPRECIATE YOUR "PARTS"
As we progress, I introduce concepts of Internal Family Systems and guide you in ways to understand and improve your relationship with yourself. Things start to settle down even more as my clients say they feel more normal, more "spacious" and less confused and overwhelmed.

UNBURDEN AND INTEGRATE, HEALING ATTACHMENET WOUNDS
Using proven IFS therapy, I can help you heal your emotional pain and wounds. You experince yourself as capable of compassion, courage, confidence, creativity, and calm and you begin to trust yourself even more.
